Cookie policy
The cookies we use, what they do, and how to turn analytics off.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We use as few as we can: our own to keep you signed in and remember your analytics choice, and Google Analytics to see which pages help people find work. We don't use advertising cookies and we don't share analytics data for advertising.
The cookies we use
| Name | What it does | How long | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
ejs_session | Keeps you signed in. Only set when you sign in. | 60 days after you last visit | Needed |
ejs_consent | Remembers your choice about analytics, so we don't ask again. | 1 year | Needed |
ejs_track | A short note so that a sign-up, application or job post you just made is counted in analytics on the next page. Not set if analytics is off. | 5 minutes | Analytics |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics: tells visits apart so we can count pages and visitors. Not set if analytics is off. | Up to 2 years | Analytics |
When you buy Premium or an extra, the payment page is run by Stripe, which sets its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud.
Your choice
Analytics is on from your first visit, and we show a short notice so you know. You can turn it off at any time, here. When it's off, the Google Analytics code isn't loaded at all and we remove its cookies from this site.
Other storage
Your Light, Dark or System display choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your device. It never leaves your device. For everything else we hold about you, see the Privacy policy. Questions: [email protected].
