Cook 2 Job Description

• The Role:
• A Cook 2 is responsible for preparing, executing, and delivering high-quality, safely handled food in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all menu items are cooked according to specifications and delivered promptly to the front-of-house staff for service. A Cook 2 must consistently uphold food safety standards, maintain cleanliness, and work efficiently as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for cooking and plating menu items to recipe specifications in a timely and consistent manner.

Ensure all food is handled, prepared, and stored in accordance with food safety guidelines.

Set up and break down assigned station, including prepping ingredients, stocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.

Follow First In First Out (FIFO) protocols when handling and storing food products.

Ensure all items are labeled and dated properly upon receiving and during storage.

Maintain an organized and sanitary kitchen work environment, including coolers, storage areas, and prep spaces. …
