On-Site Food Safety Advisor (Part-Time, Events)

Where: Excel London and other UK event venues, part-time as needed for events.

Event & Food Safety has been a UK event safety consultancy since 2007. We advise event organisers, venues and exhibitors on food safety, allergen management and compliance at exhibitions and events.

We're looking for food safety professionals to join our team of on-site advisors. Work is offered event by event, so it suits people with other commitments, including those already in local authority or industry roles.

Unlike local authority work, this role isn't about enforcement. You'll help exhibitors and caterers operate safely and work with them to resolve issues on the day.

What you'll do:

• Carry out on-site food safety checks of exhibitor stands and catering during build-up and open days
• Give clear, practical advice on food hygiene, temperature control and allergens
• Record findings and follow up issues with exhibitors and the organiser
• Work as part of a small team led by a senior advisor

What we're looking for:

• Level 3 Food Safety qualification as a minimum. We welcome applicants with anything from Level 3 up to a degree in environmental health and local authority experience, and pay reflects your qualification level.
• Confident, friendly communication with businesses under time pressure
• Good attention to detail
• Available for some event days, including early starts
